| Chung Dong-gyun (4th grader, Itaewon Elementary School) won Grand Prize in the “2005 Child Verse Contest” organized by the Daekyo Culture Foundation for elementary school students nationwide.
A total of 11,075 students applied and Gold Prize in high-grade category went to Chung Se-young (4th grader, Hwajeon Elementary School in Incheon) and Lee Ji-hyun (6th grader, Majeon Elementary School in Incheon); low-grade category to Ha Young-jun (2nd grader, Gyukdong Elementary School in Ulsan) and Moon Gyu-tak (3rd grader, Gyesung Elementary School in Seoul). There were 19 Silver Prize winners and 75 Dream Tree Prize winners and 555 Sprout Prize winners.
In group category, Pohang Jecheol Dong Elementary School won the Grand Prize with Ulsan Gyukdong Elementary School and Onyangoncheon Elementary School winning Excellence Prize. The awarding ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. at Hanmaeum Hall of Nunnopi Boramae Center on July 1.
