Nunnopi Education Award Winners Named

| The Daekyo Culture Foundation (Chief Director: Kang Yeong-jung) has presented Nunnopi Education Award in order to uphold the noble spirit of teaching and boost the morale of dedicated teachers. The Award was inaugurated in 1992 to honor the commitment of front-line teachers who practice hear-felt teaching philosophy for our future generations. This year marks 15th anniversary.
The Daekyo Culture Foundation named on December 14 ten 15th Award winners including Principal Shin Yong-bae of Byullmang Elementary School in Ansan City, Gyeonggi Province. Each recipient will be presented with 10 million won in prize money, the highest prize given to teachers in Korea.
The recipients underwent rigorous scrutiny in each category of elementary school, secondary school, society in general, childcare, kindergarten, and overseas.
Shin Jin-gyu, teacher at Jeonju Technical High School was recognized for his devotion to the growth of vocational high school and for volunteering with students to assist people with visual disabilities.
